Home Page | Q: What do the Lions do? A: In two words, we serve. Our fundraising activities allow us to help neighbors experiencing hardship, students seeking scholarships, doctors providing healthcare to the isolated and disadvantaged, and researchers seeking cures for Diabetes, glaucoma, and other diseases that rob people of sight. Learn more about what we do and how you can make a difference in Bolton and beyond. Q: Are you a charity? A: The Bolton Lions operate the Lions Club of Bolton Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organized exclusively for charitable purposes. Your donations and ticket purchases to our events benefit this charity and donation receipts are available to you for a tax deduction. Q: Can women be Lions? A: Absolutely! The Bolton Lions currently benefit from the active contributions of several women members, and we’re always seeking to grow. Join us! Q: Where and when do you meet? A: The Bolton Lions meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month, from September through June. (Lions rest in the heat of summer.) Join us at the Riverview Restaurant in Hudson, MA at 7:00 PM for food and fellowship, and see how you as a Lion can have a direct and positive effect on the lives of the people in your community. Q: Are meetings mandatory? A: No. While we encourage you to participate in our bimonthly meetings we understand that members have personal and professional interests and obligations that will mean missing a meeting now and then. Q: Are there ways I can contribute that don’t involve membership? A: The best way to contribute to the club is to participate, but there are other ways you can help whether behind the scenes or with financial contributions. Q: Are there dues? A: Yes, the Club has annual dues of $50. The Club’s annual dues are forwarded directly to the national Lions Club and are tax-deductible.
